One of dance music’s most fun and eclectic artists, Shane’s low-slung style of house and disco breathes new life into dance floors around the world. Whether playing keyboards with PillowTalk or DJing solo at events like Houghton Festival and ADE, Shane’s diverse musical roots shine through in his song selection and technique. Growing up in New York City as a youth in the Metropolitan Opera, Shane cut his teeth mixing hip-hop and R&B records while studying classical piano & music theory at Mannes School of Music. Known for his eclectic closing-set each year at The Sunset Campout and annual Disco Knights slot at Burning Man, Shane’s skill lies in weaving together a wide range of genres and rhythms satisfying audiences from New York’s Panther Room to London’s Saatchi Gallery. Last year Shane was sponsored by Polaroid Originals headlining their opening party in Amsterdam. His summer tour was set to include Love International, Houghton, Dusk among others but the pandemic procured several livestreams instead including Diaries from the Underground with Holmar and several sets from Monarch in San Francisco under the “Songs for Lovers” moniker with partner, Alvaro Z. Shane has released music on Roam, Crew Love, and PillowTalk Music and will focus on more original music in 2021.
